Evisu Jeans

Understanding the quality of selvege demin, at the time only available in vintage jeans, to Hidehiko Yamane the choice was clear - create them himself, using the same method that produced the originals.

In 1988 that is exactly what he did, spinning pure American cotton on an Amercan loom from the 50's, producing his on denim to create his own Jeans. Once constructed, Yamane would carefully handpaint his signature Seagul logo onto the jeans. At thet moment, a legend was born; Evisu Jeans (Genes).

Now produced on a much larger scale in Italy, the fine quality and craftmenship that is uniquely Evisu is enjoyed by denim connoisseurs & the fashion conscience all over the word. Imitated, but not duplicated - Evisu upped the ante when it came to bringing a true quality denim product to the people.
